Staff Fullstack Engineer

Velocy is a small team building goal-first project management for founding teams. We are looking for a Staff Fullstack Engineer to help us scale the product and the engineering foundation underneath it without adding unnecessary process or complexity.

You will have broad ownership across the stack and play a key role in how we build as the team grows.

What you will work on

• Design and build scalable systems across the frontend, backend, and data layers.
• Set engineering standards and patterns that the rest of the team builds on.
• Lead technical decisions on architecture, performance, and reliability.
• Collaborate directly with product and design to ship fast without accumulating technical debt.
• Mentor and support more junior engineers as the team expands.

What we are looking for

• 7 or more years of fullstack engineering experience, including time at staff level or equivalent.
• Deep experience with modern web stacks and a strong track record of shipping in production.
• Ability to lead technical direction without creating process overhead.
• Strong opinions held loosely — you know what good looks like and can explain why.
• Experience working in fast-moving early-stage environments.
